Visible 247 is returning to DEMA after a banner year in 2019. According to founder Chris Hall, the company’s products were well received. DEMA participants asked the designer to come up with a multi-use chemical glow stick for environmental concerns, and Visible 24/7 has delivered on that promise throughout the last year. The company is currently searching for a distributor for the new glow sticks.
“We developed our alternative and will be showcasing it this year and giving away lots of samples!” exclaims Hall. “Our alternative has a typical lifespan in excess of five years and is recharged from a high-power light source (e.g. dive lamp or tactical flashlight) immediately prior to use (they absorb more energy this way than from natural light). Each stick can be reused indefinitely, and the lifespan is only limited by the physical life of the polymers.”
have also developed variants for on-land use e.g. camping that are optimized
for charging from lower levels of natural light during the day. We have
expanded our overprint technology and are now able to digitally print durable
resin onto our glowing substrates – this makes items such as key accessories
very attractive to brand licensees across sectors including, sports teams, characters
and the armed services merchandise.
“Our technology can add safety, value and consumer appeal to many products that are used in the dark or in low visibility conditions. There are many potential applications with diving and on dive equipment, including knife handles, releases and demand valves. Similarly, there are many applications for our technology on boats and marine sports equipment. We exhibit where our potential customers gather and DEMA is a great place to talk to dive equipment manufacturers and distributors.”
Visible 247 products cover a wide, colorful spectrum of uses from the everyday to more specialized interests. Domestic products include brightly lit house numbers and lock and light switch markers for navigating a home environment in dark conditions. Visible 247’s personal care line, FINDatNIGHT, offers bright markers for locating important items, and includes bands for inhalers, a glasses mat, and personal care markers that can fit a variety of items from pillboxes to first aid kits. Smaller, though no less convenient, products include coasters, phone covers and markers, and markers for general household and handheld objects.
“Most of our activities are focused on custom components for third parties and this area of our business has been very busy (a number of global brands will be launching new products in 2020, including knives, flashlights and more key accessories to name a few).” says Hall.
Visible 247’s products are not confined to household use. Outside the homestead, the luminescent technology shines in full display through watch dials and straps, which have been meticulously designed for style, comfort, and utility. Outdoor adventures, such as hiking, boating, fishing, and scuba diving, can be challenging once the sun sets; Visible 247’s Outdoor Leisure line helps sweep away the darkness. Products in this category include the multipurpose X-Marker for smaller items such as keys and knives; a torch (flashlight) band; and markers for boxes and equipment, such as boat deck lockers. The company also produces brand protection devices to help prevent theft and fraud.
All Visible 247 products are designed with the environment in mind and are non-toxic, non-radioactive, and are designed for international safety standards; products are made durable for years and are not single-use.
Visible 247 will be at DEMA booth #761 alongside watch designer Time Concepts, LLC, which uses their signature illumination technology in some of its products. For more details on Visible 247, visit visible247.com.
