Join the diving community at this year’s 47th annual Chicago Dive & Travel Expo, hosted by Our World Underwater at Chicago Marriott O’Hare Hotel & Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.
About This Year’s Show:
The show begins on Friday, February 16, 2018 with a Professional Scuba Inspectors (PSI) and Professional Cylinder Inspectors (PCI) workshop: starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. This full day certification course will teach you about the “regulations and fundamentals of conducting visual inspections of wall and composite SCUBA and SCBA cylinders.” There is a course fee of $295 for ages 16 and up. After all of that, settle down and relax for the next day’s fun events!
On Saturday 17, the main events start at 10 a.m. and run until 6 pm. The convention hall will be filled with businesses and companies of all kind, including travel, retail, and more. Saturday has a wide selection of seminars to attend, with topics about travel destinations, equipment, the waters we dive in, and many unique topics created by the presenters. As the day rolls into the evening, from 7 to 9 p.m., you can attend the Film Festival. Tickets are $15 online, $20 at the door, and during the festival there will be trip giveaway valued at just under $3,000.
The final day, Sunday, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with opportunities to revisit all the businesses from the day before, plan a trip, maybe even try out scuba diving in an on-site scuba area. Sunday has a fresh set of seminars to teach you about the different perks of being a member of the diving community.
