“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice.”
—by T.S. Eliot
The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We create each chapter of the story as we embark on our journey through life. Each page is filled with our daily successes, sometimes our failures, great adventures, and accomplishments. As we explore our lives we create new pages eventually filling up those chapters in our book of life.
We begin 2018 by wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous new year filled with adventures as you write your book.
We are very grateful to you all for your continued support. This past year has been filled with many changes as we bid farewell to our former Publisher, Rick Stratton, change the direction of the magazine’s content, and welcome an incredible array of creative and talented contributors to our community magazine. We are forever grateful
and fortunate to work with a cadre of photographers, travel writers, explorers, environmental experts, biologists, shipwreck hunters, gear experts, shop owners, manufacturers, and even welcome our very own mental health specialist and dive safety advisors. WOW! The magazine has grown in the past 6 months and we look forward to the continued growth as we embrace a larger community of divers, history aficionados, environmentalists, and explorers.
This year, as we build our pages in the chapters of our lives, we will strive to bring the dive community closer as we bridge across the world and explore the many incredible places to dive into. This month we explore a number of locations across the United States, Canada, across the Pacific Ocean, and in Europe. We take a close look at the Bikini Atoll where history left an indelible mark, dive into Norway’s fascinating waters, and explore the warm and inviting California coast.
We want you to embrace this magazine – we want to hear from you! This is your community whether you dive into the frigid Alaskan waters or live in the land down under – Australia.
Make your New Year’s resolution to create more adventure as you explore the world with us, share your stories, and become part of an amazing community!
As we enter 2018 we welcome Jeffrey Gallant, Publisher of the Diving Almanac and Book of Records, as part of our growing team!
